Overview

The name ‘Chena’ means ‘clearing in the jungle’ and there are many of these where local farmers have built huts so that they can sleep close to their crops. The Uga Chena Huts are located right on the shores of the ocean, overlooking the beach where marine turtles come ashore to lay their eggs by moonlight and elephants wander down from the nearby jungle to splash in the waves. There is nothing more romantic than a walk along the shoreline in the moonlight leaving just two pairs of footprints in the wet sands. Enjoy the day exploring the second largest national park, the Yala, seeking out wildlife species such as the leopards or elephants then retreat to your cabin for a soak in your very own tub, dining in the world-class restaurants and bars or indulging in a massage at the lavish spa. Uga Chena Huts sprawls across 7 lush acres but is home to just 14 spacious cabins, each hut is detached and secluded and comes with spectacular views of the lush forest, lagoon and exotic wildlife making it perfect for honeymooners.
