Facilities
The Bale is a Balinese pavilion situated in the grounds and overlooks a small river and lush vegetation. This space is used for yoga and meditation, cookery classes and Balinese dance lessons and can be transformed into an idyllic setting for a candlelit dinner for two.
If you want to explore the locality, there is the chance to enjoy the colour of the local market or some ‘retail therapy’ in the shops or for something really memorable, two elephants waiting for you both to enjoy in the safari. There are many places to visit that are within 15 minutes walk of the hotel including the Ubud Monkey Forest, Peliatan Palace and Agung Rai Museum of Art. If you prefer to explore further afield, bicycles can be hired.
As night falls, there is plenty of fun activities at the Alaya Ubud with Gamelan dancing most evenings as well as live music from some of Bali’s top musicians.
Restaurants
If you would like a beautifully romantic meal either to enjoy on your terrace/ balcony or in a special location in the hotel grounds, this can be easily arranged.
The Vintage High Tea is a very special occasion with tea being served in the middle of a lush paddy field! There are cups of tea, sandwiches and delicious small cakes and there is something rather special about the setting!
