Room Types

Hotel Wailea is situated in a remote setting on the western slopes of the Haleakala volcano. There are 72 luxury eco-inspired one bed suites and each one is chic, stylish and very private. Each suite has been strategically placed to enjoy a wonderful view and whilst the suites are nearly identical, it is their views that different. The suite has rich Hawaiian culture infused in its beautiful design. There are sturdy farm doors, white oak floors throughout, wooden doors and dark wood furniture and a dramatic feature wall of coral and limestone. The colour scheme throughout is the colours of the natural stone and wood emphasized by the crisp white luxury bed linen and dramatic highlights in deep red, black and gold are used for cushions, the bed runner and the bedroom chair. The suites have a spacious living area with sofa, twin 40” flat screen LCD TVs, comfortable seating and stylish and well-equipped kitchen with granite work surfaces, microwave and Nespresso machine. The attractive bedroom has a king size bed and the bathroom has an elegant – and very tempting deep soaking tub and separate rain shower with marble back wall. Outside, there is an attractive private lanai (terrace) with rattan chairs, table and chaise longue. There is air conditioning and Wi-Fi throughout.

One Bedroom Suite - Ocean View

This stunning suite is situated on the top floor and ground floor with stunning views of the Pacific Ocean, which are particularly special when it is common to see whales breaching. The suite is lovely and spacious with 67 sq metres of floor space. There is a spacious sitting room with 40” flat screen TV with cable channels, iPod dock, sofa and a kitchenette with microwave, fridge/freezer and Nespresso machine. The stylish bathrooms have a bathtub and separate shower and all face the ocean with lovely views and bathrobes and luxury toiletries are provided. Outside there is a private lanai (balcony) with chairs and chaise lounges.
One Bedroom Suite – Partial Ocean View

Enjoy the best of both worlds with this beautiful suite! Relax on your private lanai with wonderful views of the landscaped tropical gardens with glimpses of the twinkling ocean. The lanai has table and chairs for simply relaxing together and soaking up the atmosphere. Inside (67 sq m) there is a comfortable living area, kitchenette and separate bedroom. The bathroom has a lovely deep tub for more relaxation!
One Bedroom Suite – Garden View

Situated on the ground floor this lovely suite has a private terrace with views of the lush tropical gardens with the koi carp pond and cascading waterfall. Inside, the suite is relaxing and spacious ( 67 sq m) with a living area and kitchenette, separate bedroom with king size bed and bathroom.

Facilities

It is impossible not to feel relaxed at Hotel Wailea as it is situated on a lush tropical hillside with beautiful views of the ocean. The sandy beach is private to the hotel and there is a stunning hotel pool, hot tub and cabanas just for two. Your suite can be transformed into the ultimate spa getaway so that you can enjoy a selection of treatments including the wonderful four-handed lomi lomi massage.

The gardens are lovely and tranquil and the perfect place to wander hand in hand, or if you are tempted to explore further afield, the hotel has eco-friendly electric bikes and a picnic lunch to enjoy on the beach can be arranged – the perfect honeymoon date. The hotel has a really good gym and offers daily yoga sessions and for those seeking a relaxing insight into local culture there are Hakulei (flower garland) lessons.

The ocean is perfect for those who enjoy water sports including kite boarding, outrigger canoeing, paddleboards and snorkelling. The sunset sailing is definitely perfect for your romantic honeymoon in Hawaii.

Restaurants

The philosophy of the hotel Chefs is 'grown not flown' and they use the very best locally grown organic produce from local farms and fish caught by local fishermen. Hotel Wailea has its own farm within its grounds too. The result is that the dishes prepared use the very best seasonal produce and are created to really enhance the flavours. Situated poolside, The Cabanas is a relaxed bar that serves lovely cool drinks and cocktails plus light meals throughout the day.

The Restaurant

This is outside dining at its very best with candlelit tables snuggled amongst the greenery. The restaurant has received several awards because of its originality. It is the only Relais & Chateaux restaurant in Hawaii. The menu is inspired by European cuisine and menus have been adjusted to use the finest local produce with delicious results
The Treehouse

This is just such a romantic location for dinner. Led by small twinkling lights up the wooden staircase, the wooden restaurant commands wonderful ocean views. The Chef cooks a very special seven-course meal for couples to enjoy at a leisurely pace in stunning surroundings and the result is sheer romance!
