Room Types

There are 140 rooms, 14 suites and 52 villas at Qasr Al Sarab and the old forts have influenced the design of this luxurous resort. The rooms are spacious and opulent with jewel bright fabrics used for the soft furnishings and the king size bed has the finest quality bed linens and a pillow menu for guaranteed comfort. There is a living area with comfortable chairs, dark wood furniture, a flat screen TV, DVD and media box and the sound for the TV is provided by a Bose Bluetooth sound system. The bathrooms are stylish with large round bathtubs and walk in rain showers and a soap menu is available. There is air conditioning and Wi Fi throughout.

Deluxe Garden Room

With uninterrupted views of the desert, from your garden terrace, this stylish room (45 sq m) is very comfortable, with the king size bed standing on a large carpet and brightly coloured cushions for relaxing moments. The floor to ceiling French window opens onto the terrace, which is furnished with table and comfortable upholstered chairs and is very romantic especially at dusk when the sand dunes are coloured in rosy hues. Inside the bathroom has a really large round bath tub which is perfect for two and separate rain shower. This room type is also available as a Deluxe Balcony room, situated on an upper floor.
Deluxe Terrace Room

Situated on the corner of the upper floors, this room is so spacious and stylish (85 sq m) that it feels like a suite! Inside, there is a living area, sumptuous king size bed and bathroom with a gorgeous round bathtub for two. Outside there is an expansive terrace with sofas, tables, a dining area and sun loungers that are in a rustic style with Arabian levels of comfort.
Anantara Suite

With 86 sq m of floor space, this suite is so luxurious and relaxing. With 86 sq m there is plenty of space. Inside, there is a comfortable living area, king size bed and en suite with a round bathtub for a romantic relaxing soak together as well as a walk-in rain shower. Outside on the patio, you will find sun loungers, comfortable chairs and a table and chairs for candlelit dinners.
One bedroom Anantara Pool Villa

This is the perfect romantic hideaway. With 92 sq m of floor area, there is a living area with comfortable seating, dining area and kitchenette, all beautifully styled in shades of coffee, brown and cream with leather chairs. The separate bedroom has a king size bed and reading chairs and the en suite has a large round bathtub and rainfall shower. Outside, there is a beautiful private plunge pool with sun deck and outside shower as well as sun loungers, table and chairs for al fresco dining and cocktails prepared by the butler.
Royal Pavilion Pool Villa

This stunning villa oozes splendour and luxury and is the perfect choice for a honeymoon as it offers perfect seclusion and peace as it is situated in an adults-only area. Inside the 92 sq m villa, there are beautiful soft furnishings in tones of gold. There is a living area, dining area and well-equipped kitchenette. The separate bedroom has a king size bed and beautiful en suite with a round bathtub for two and separate rain shower. Outside is stunning with a generously sized terrace surrounding the plunge pool. There are day beds, armchairs and an outdoor shower as well as a dining area. Drinks and meals can by provided by your personal villa host.

Facilities

Enjoy the Arabian sporting traditions or unforgettable desert adventures, or if you prefer, relax and recharge your batteries in the free form pool or luxurious spa. Sample the ancient rituals for cleansing and relaxing or the contrasts of hot marble beds and Jacuzzi steam with invigorating ice blasts. There is the chance to work out in the excellent fitness centre or relax and enjoy a cookery class.

For those who enjoy sport, there is archery, horse riding and tennis, but as you are in the desert, why not have a go at sand boarding, sand sledding or fat biking?

Explore your surroundings on a guided desert walk, which are available at sun rise or sun set and also full moon or go on a camel trek. If you enjoy a faster pace of life, a desert drive in a 4 x 4 will get the adrenalin pumping!

There are places to visit too including Abu Dhabi and Liwa and the chance to enjoy a falcon and saluki show.

Restaurants

There is a wonderful selection of dining options at Qasr Al Sarab, but some of them are only open/ available between October – April. With romance in mind, there is the chance to enjoy dinner under the stars at a candlelit table amongst the sand dunes. Another fun idea is an in-villa barbecue for two and there is a tempting menu for in room dining.

Al Waha

This elegant restaurant serves breakfast and dinner from October- April and just breakfast during other months. The menu is filled with Middle Eastern dishes – both traditional and contemporary and international classics.
Suhail

This spectacular rooftop lounge terrace has a grill restaurant and is the perfect place to enjoy a crafted cocktail followed by dinner.
Ghadeer

Situated poolside, this attractive restaurant is open for light refreshing lunches and romantic dinners and the menu is full of delicious Mediterranean dishes.
Al-Falaj

This is a definite 'must do' but is not available May-October or when there is inclement weather. Enjoy time in a traditional Bedouin camp and relax over a traditionally styled dinner – a really unique experience.
