Encircled by Kenya’s wildlife-rich landscape, this is the place to come for magical safaris. Three game drives depart from the camp per day – at sunrise, late morning, and in the afternoon – giving you plenty of opportunity to spot some of the country’s most captivating animals.

The camp itself provides delicious meals lovingly prepared with fresh local ingredients. There’s also the opportunity for indulgent spa treatments, delivered by expert therapists in the comfort of your private tent.

Room Types

There are just 17 luxury tents at Little Governors, all of which are ensuite. Rise at dawn as the rose-pink African sky begins to brighten with the coming sun and melodies of tropical birdsong fill the air. All tents have electricity and WiFi, plus a charming ensuite where Cinnabar Green bath products await to help keep you feeling refreshed.

Tents

Emerge from your plush double bed and tiptoe across polished wooden floors, drifting out to your generous-sized verandah to survey the awakening savannah. After a busy day of safaris and spotting the magnificent ‘Big 5’, freshen up with a nice hot shower in your tent’s ensuite. Use complimentary Cinnabar Green products that are pleasingly eco-friendly, then return to your verandah to watch the sunset over an animal-dotted watering hole.

Facilities

Little Governors Camp is located in the lush Riverine Forest, hugging the banks of a watering hole on the edge of the Masai Mara National Reserve offering you both an unforgettable safari honeymoon in Kenya. With just 17 accommodation tents, this is an ultra exclusive retreat that offers honeymooners the chance to mingle with some of Africa’s most stunning flora and fauna.

You’ll arrive by boat after a journey along the Mara River, settling into a decadently decorated canvas abode with wooden furniture and plush linens ensuring optimum comfort.

With three game drives a day, you’ll see plenty of the resident wildlife here - keep watch for lofty giraffes, mighty African elephants, lions and a plethora of colourful birds. On your return to camp, you can ease any tired muscles with a range of spa treatments delivered to you in your tent - a ‘Coco Bliss’ massage and ‘Soleful’ spa pedicure should do the trick.

Once suitably serene, drift out to the communal open air tent and hit the inviting bar for sundowner drinks. Toast the start of married life as the sun sets over the savannah on another perfect day.

Restaurants

As this hotel is a nature-nestled bush camp, evening meals are taken in the communal dining tent with other meals enjoyed outside in the balmy African sunshine. You’ll feast on a bountiful breakfast each morning, with delicious continental and full English options available and then drift out to the communal open air bar tent and hit the inviting bar for sundowner drinks. Lunches are buffet-style, complete with lots of fresh salad, while evening meals are a la carte. Packed lunches are available if you plan on heading out for the day.
