Asia Diving Honeymoon
Tulamben Bay, Bali
Tulamben Bay has three main diving sites that each have a completely different environment from the last, providing it with a strikingly diverse underwater ecosystem. This makes it one of Bali’s most famous diving areas. Many people travel here from around the globe to photograph and write about this diver’s dream world, and you will certainly not be alone in your quest to discover its waters. The best thing about Tulamben Bay is that it is fitting for all levels of diving. Whether you are a beginner diver or you just want to snorkel over the coral reef, or if you are looking for a deep sea adventure to beat any other, there will certainly be something to suit your ability. Take a dip under the lapping waves to see the USAT Liberty Wreck, a 120m long cargo ship that was torpedoed down by the Japanese during World War 2. Despite attempts to tow the ship onto the coast, the ship now lies nearly beached at Tulamben, a mere 30m or so offshore. Keep an eye out for the parts of the ship that still remain, like the toilets, anchor chain, guns and boilers. Because the shipwreck is so close to sure and only 3m below the surface at its highest point, even snorkelers can enjoy this fascinating piece of history under the water.

Caribbean Diving Honeymoon
Bimini, Bahamas
This diving site also ranges from shallow reefs and wrecks to deep diving spots with walls dropping into the depths of the Gulfstream waters. With healthy, vibrant corals and a deep waters close to the shore, lots of marine life is attracted to this spot, making it fabulous for divers to delve into. This spot is popular for spotting bull sharks and hammerhead sharks. Certain areas where these sharks swim around freely are closed to swimmers, but if you do not want to miss your opportunity to be in the water with these 300 pound creatures, then why not arrange to do a cage dive where you can still see these sharks in the flesh, but without any risks involved?
Bimini is famous most of all for its chance to swim with wild spotted dolphins in their natural habitat. People who swim with dolphins often report feelings of delight and happiness when they come into contact with them. The high-frequency sonar that they emit through the water (which sounds like clicks and whistles to us) has been said to have a therapeutic and euphoric effect. There is nothing more pleasurable than seeing these happy creatures splash, twirl and flip in the clear, warm waters while you are on your diving honeymoon.

USA & Mexico Diving Honeymoon
Cancun, Mexico
Cancun is a very popular tourist destination for many reasons, one of them being for its endless diving opportunities. The Great Mayan Barrier Reef is the second biggest of its type in the world, with great parts of it lying in Cancun. These glistening Caribbean waters are home to tens of thousands of marine species, including the whale shark which can be seen during its migration period here. These spotted creatures are harmless to divers who can freely swim alongside them; an experience not to be missed. Cancun is also famous for its manta-rays which also migrate alongside the whale sharks; these are too are harmless to swim with, even though the larger ones may look a little intimidating! Nurse sharks can also be spotted in shallow waters, even by snorkelers. Green turtles, hawksbill and loggerheads are also very common in the waters of Cancun, and you are more than likely to have these graceful animals glide past you while you are diving.
The Cancun Underwater Museum is also situated here, which is made up of 400 statues made of eco-friendly materials put in place to encourage coral growth. As these slowly develop into artificial coral reefs, divers can witness the marine life begin to flourish and see a boost in the local ecosystem. This is yet another way to encounter some history on your diving honeymoon, as well as a fabulous effort at underwater nature conservation. The sculptures are made to reflect a cultural but contemporary view on the evolution of the Mayan people during The Silent Revolution.
