Jade visits the Seychelles with the Seychelles Tourism Board
Our Honeymoon Specialist Jade visited the Seychelles last November with the Seychelles Tourism Board and has shared her luxurious experience with us and why the Seychelles should be the top of your list for a luxury beach honeymoon.
Jade met the rest of her group at London Heathrow where a group of travel agents checked in for their flight and headed straight to the Etihad lounge where they found out they had been upgraded to Business Class!
Jade said Etihad were fantastic and the service was brilliant. “Pretty much one to one service on business class, what better way to take off from Abu Dhabi, with your feet up, and a glass of champagne in hand,” Jade said. The group had access to the Etihad Business class lounge where they enjoyed full bar service, hot buffet food, cold meats, shower facilities with ‘The White Company’ products and Jade even enjoyed a bamboo massage before take-off.
Jade and the rest of the group landed into the Seychelles in the morning where they were welcomed and assisted by a Seychelles Tourism Board representative. The group jumped in a transfer from Seychelles airport to Banyan Tree Seychelles where they checked in to their own private Hillside Pool Villa. Jade said the villa was amazing, spacious and completely private with a beautiful view over the beach.
The group then headed to Kaz Zanana for a complimentary lunch with the Principle Secretary of Tourism & representatives of the Seychelles Tourism Board & Air Seychelles. Jade and the other travel agents then enjoyed a tour around the Banyan Tree Seychelles before a delicious dinner hosted by Banyan Tree management.
Jade and the other travel agents had an early start on the second day where they departed on a guided tour of Victoria, the capital city of the Seychelles. The group then headed up into the mountains where they stopped off for a photo before reaching Mission Lodge, a site of the old school for freed slave children. On the way back, the group stopped off at the Pineapple Studio for a guided tour of the workshop where they produce local crafts. Jade said it was a great day out experiencing the local culture and seeing some incredible sights and a must-do for culture lovers during their Seychelles honeymoon.
After a busy day exploring the island, the group headed back to Banyan Tree Seychelles where they enjoyed some free time in their private pool villa before meeting on the beach for cocktails at the Rum Shack followed by a delicious hosted dinner.
Jade enjoyed a complimentary breakfast at Banyan Tree before heading to the Banyan Tree Spa for a relaxing spa treatment, which she said was absolutely divine. The morning was spent at leisure, enjoying the wonderful facilities at the Banyan Tree Seychelles before a transfer to Anse Royale Beach for a relaxing afternoon soaking up the sun on the picture perfect beach. The group enjoyed a sunset cruise, compliments of Silhouette Cruises, which Jade highly recommends.
The next day, the group caught the ferry to Praslin Island (Approx. 1 hour) where they were welcomed by Creole Travel Services. The group then headed to the Vallee-de-Mai for a tour of the Nature Reserve, which Jade said takes about 90 minutes to go through it all with a guide and highly recommends for nature lovers.
Jade and the other agents enjoyed some beach-time at the Anse Lazio beach before checking-in to Raffles Praslin and a guided tour around the hotel before dinner hosted by Raffles management. Jade stayed overnight at Raffles Praslin in a Royal Ocean View Two Bedroom Suite, which she said was purely luxurious and VERY spacious. For cocktail lovers, Jade recommends the Long Island Ice Tea cocktail at Raffles.
The following day, the group headed to St. Anne jetty where they caught the ferry to La Digue and explored this great island by truck before enjoying lunch and a tour of the beautiful hotel L’Orangeraie. Jade and the other travel agents then headed back to Praslin where they enjoyed another hosted dinner at Raffles.
It was the final day for the group and what better way to finish the trip then with another complimentary spa treatment, this time at Raffles. Jade said it was pure bliss! They enjoyed a relaxing day of free time before their transfer to Seychelles International Airport as they enjoyed business class flights back to London Heathrow, via Abu Dhabi.

Mahe is the main island, no internal flights or transfers. Banyan Tree is a must, even if only for a few nights. Would highly recommend Raffles too for pure luxury.
Must do’s:
Massage at the Banyan Tree, Visit Victoria (the Capital) and pick up gifts and clothes from the local market and stores, Also visit the Mission Lodge for a bit of History (on Mahe)
You can’t leave the Seychelles without…
Must visit an Island called La Digue, absolutely beautiful. Fantastic beaches, and a buzzing atmosphere. Stay at the Kuoni property – Le Domaine de L’Orangeraie
