Al Bandar At Shangri-La Barr Al Jissah Resort & Spa is one of three luxury hotels at Shangri La Al Jissah Resort in the Sultanate of Oman. Room Types

All the 198 guest rooms face the beautiful waters of the Gulf of Oman and each have a balcony or terrace to make the most of the wonderful views. Each room is attractively furnished in the modern Arabic style. As well as a furnished balcony or terrace that is reached through floor to ceiling sliding windows, the guest rooms have a spacious living area with sofa and armchairs. There is a flat screen TV with satellite and cable channels plus in house movies. For extra comfort, there are tea and coffee making facilities and a mini bar. The bathroom has an attractive walk-in shower and Shangri La toiletries. There is air conditioning throughout and complimentary Wi Fi. Extra towels for the beach are provided.

Deluxe Terrace

Spacious and in a modern Arabic style, this comfortable room (38 sq m) has attractive vistas of the gardens and Gulf of Oman. The attractive balcony/terrace is furnished with table and chairs for enjoying a drink together at any time of the day or evening. Inside there is a generous living area with soft chairs and a writing desk and there is a comfortable king size bed. The elegant bathroom has a walk-in shower. This room type is also available as a Deluxe Terrace, which is situated on the ground floor and has an expansive terrace with direct access to the gardens and pool area. This room type is also available as a Deluxe Sea View with beautiful views of the gardens, pools and Gulf of Oman.
Premier Room

The rooms are amongst the most generously sized guest rooms in the Sultanate of Oman. With 51 sq m, they are generously sized for two with a lovely living area to relax in and the generously sized balcony/terrace outside. There is a comfortable king size bed and attractive bathroom with walk-in shower and pampering toiletries.
One bedroom suite

With Arabian style opulence and beautiful views of the Bay of Oman, this spacious suite (76 sq m) has a separate living room with sofas, armchairs, coffee table and desk and separate bedroom with king size bed. The bathroom has a walk-in shower. Outside there is an attractive balcony/terrace with table and chairs.
Specialty Suite

This luxurious and expansive suite (114 sq m) is ideal for honeymooners wanting a peaceful and stylish retreat. Outside there is a generously sized balcony with table and chairs and inside the spacious living room has double sofas and a writing desk, plus a dining area. The separate bedroom is generously sized with king size bed and comfortable armchairs for reading and relaxing.

Facilities

This beautiful hotel offers many chances for relaxation with its private sandy beachfront location, swimming pools and Chi -The Spa, for wonderfully restoring treatments. If you prefer to work out there is a well-equipped health club, play tennis or enjoy a game of volleyball.

There are water sports a plenty making great use of the wonderful sea and there are lessons available for all levels. Scuba diving and snorkeling are popular and so are the glass-bottomed kayaks. There is the chance to join a guided snorkeling trip and see plenty of colourful marine life. If you like speed there is wind surfing and water skiing to enjoy as well as wake boarding and stand up paddle boarding.

For those who enjoy wildlife, there are dolphin tours to enjoy with a great chance to see some dolphins playing or swimming alongside the boat. The resort has its own dedicated Turtle Ranger who raises the profile of these beautiful marine creatures (Hawksbills and Green Turtles can be found in the area) as the Resort has an active conservation programme.

Restaurants

Dining at Al Bandar At Shangri La Al Jissah Resort is a delight as there are so many restaurants to choose from. Guests at Al Bandar At Shangri La Al Jissah can dine in the restaurants at any three of the hotels that make up the Resort. If you would like to treat yourselves to some fine upscale dining, Sultanah at the Shangri La Al Husn has a luxury cruise liner theme and a fabulous international menu. Another option is the Shahrazad, which serves Moroccan, Lebanese and Omani cuisine. As well as restaurants, there are a number of bars and pool bars for relaxing together with a drink and light bites.

Capri Court

Al Bandar has a wonderful contemporary Italian restaurant to enjoy which also has Tapas and Sablah for those who would like to enjoy a more relaxed al fresco style meal outdoors.
Bait al Bahr

In front of the hotel and on the edge of the sand, this restaurant is intimate and romantic – especially at sunset. The menu is full of local seafood specialties for you to enjoy together.
