Overview
Anavilhanas Jungle Lodge is an intimate and exclusive hotel set on the banks of the Rio Negro, in front of the Anavilhanas National Park. Nestling amongst the jungle trees and with gravel paths leading to their doors, the 22 cottages and bungalows are traditionally styled with pitched traditional thatched roofs and wooden floors, walls and ceilings inside. On arrival guests are welcomed with freshly squeezed fruit juice and a personal itinerary promising a honeymoon to remember.

Chalets
With lots of wooden features and built on stilts, the cottages are cosy, intimate and simply furnished with a floor area of 28m². The soft furnishings are in white and natural tones to emphasize the beauty of the furniture, which has been made from reclaimed wood. There is a living area with floor to ceiling sliding windows that lead outside. There is a comfortable king size bed and the en suite has a shower with hot water. -
Bungalows
There are just four of these delightful bungalows (39m²) which have huge floor to ceiling sliding windows that lead out onto the verandah that has table, chairs and two matching hammocks as well as marvellous views of the rainforest. Inside, there is a living area with 40” LCD TV with Sky HD and as well as air conditioning there are ceiling fans. The lovely king size bed faces the sliding windows ensuring that the jungle vista can be enjoyed. The stylish bathroom has both free standing bath tub and walk-in shower. -
Panoramics
With 70m² of floor area this is a superb bungalow especially as it has a ten-metre glass wall with fabulous views of the verdant greenery. Outside there is a spacious verandah with table, chairs and hammocks. Inside there is a generous living area with sofa, writing desk, table and chairs plus a 40” LCD TV with Sky HD. The king size bed overlooks the verandah and the rain forest beyond, whilst the bathroom is truly elegant with twin vanity basins, walk in shower and free standing bath tub.
Facilities
Excursions are led by local guides and the transfer is by speedboat from the Lodge jetty. There are hikes through the jungle to fascinating local villages, a trip to see the igarapés- river tributaries - and the chance to see the pink dolphins.
The transfer from the airport to the Anavilhanas Lodge is by land or there is the option of a hydroplane flight.
