Overview

Bluebay Beach Resort is set in 30 acres of lush tropical gardens by the beach, on the eastern coast of Zanzibar. The hotel is conveniently located less than an hour’s drive from the isle’s Abeid Karume Airport, and the island itself is reached by taking a 45-minute flight from Nairobi or a 2 hour ferry ride from Dar es Salaam.

Room Types

The resort is home to a total of 112 spacious rooms and suites, divided into 4 categories.

Garden Rooms

Garden Rooms are at least 45sqm in size and are surrounded by verdant tropical gardens. Each room comes with 2 four-poster beds, en suite bathrooms and a private balcony or veranda. Other standard amenities – including mosquito nets – are included.
Superior Room

Superior Rooms are a little bigger, at 50sqm, and all boast beautiful sea views as well as all of the facilities of the Garden Rooms.
Junior Suite

Junior Suites are located less than 30m away from the beach and offer stunning, spacious accommodation, which includes a large four-poster bed and separate dressing room, an extensive veranda area and private garden shower.
Sultan Suites

The ultimate couples retreat comes in the form of the resort’s Sultan Suites. These two elegant suites are situated just a few metres from the powder white sand and boast traditionally furnished verandas, 8-foot “Sultan” beds and a walk-in dressing room. Traditional-dressed butlers will make sure you are well taken care of during your stay.
