Kimpton Canary Hotel is a charming Spanish style boutique hotel, which stands just a short distance from the sights and sounds of Santa Barbara – the town with the nickname ‘the American Riviera’. The hotel’s rooftop has amazing 360º views with the Santa Ynez Mountains as the dramatic backdrop and views of the Pacific and Californian coast.

Room Types

Kimpton Canary Hotel offers relaxed and refined accommodation with old world charm and warm friendly service throughout. The rooms are full of character with hard wood floors and beautiful canopied dark wood four-poster beds. The rooms are beautifully decorated with interesting pieces of furniture and great attention to detail and they all benefit from plenty of natural light. There are comfortable chairs and a flat screen TV, fresh fruit basket and mini bar. The bathrooms are stylish and full of character and some have mini TVs! Bathrobes and toiletries are provided. There is air conditioning and complimentary Wi-Fi throughout.

Deluxe King

This attractive room oozes character and comfort! With 30m² of floor area, there is a generous writing desk, comfortable chairs and the beautiful canopied king size bed. The pretty bathroom has either a bath or shower.
Premier King

This stylish room (32m²) is coloured in soft hues that accentuate the beauty of the dark wood furniture and wooden floors. The en-suite bathroom has its own TV and is fitted with either a bathtub or shower.This type of room is also available as a Premier King Balcony with an unfurnished balcony which has great views and is perfect for relaxing with a glass of local wine.
Junior Suite

This attractive suite (42m²) has been designed as a 'studio' in style with a bedroom area with a pretty canopied four poster bed and a living area with sofa, armchair, coffee table and large writing desk. The pretty 'country cottage' style bathroom has a deep relaxing bathtub.
King Suite

This spacious 45m² suite has a separate and attractive coffee and cream coloured living room with sofa, armchairs and large coffee table. The beautiful canoped four-poster bed stands on a large rug that accentuates the beauty of its turned posts. The pretty bathroom has both bathtub and shower.

Facilities

Kimpton Canary is situated on the same south facing stretch of coastline as Santa Barbara and is just a comfortable walking distance from the shops, restaurants and the attractions. Santa Barbara is a lovely town with Mediterranean style buildings with red tiled roofs and a strong Spanish character reflecting its colonial past. Highlights of its year include its annual Fiesta – 'Old Spanish Days' – in April, its Summer Solstice parade and its flamboyant celebrations of French Bastille Day on 14 July. Santa Barbara is ideal for lovers of classical music as it has its own symphony orchestra and many classical groups and it has an active dramatic scene too.

If you prefer to dine in the comfort and privacy of your room, that is possible too. Every evening at 5.00 p.m. guests are invited for the hotel's complimentary wine tasting hour, which is relaxed and lots of fun.

Finch & Fork Restaurant

With the accolade of being one of the top five restaurants in Santa Barbara, the Finch & Fork offers terrific food with seafood fresh from the Pacific, and lots of local farm produce including beef. The restaurant is open from breakfast through till dinner with a popular Brunch option of Saturdays and Sundays.
