Overview
Hotel Le Duc de Praslin is one of the top four star hotels on the island and is owned by the Payat family and staffed by local people keen that you enjoy their beautiful island. The hotel stands at one end of the Cote d’Or beach which has white powdery sand with the azure waters of the ocean. The hotels 28 rooms are scattered in its tropical gardens offering total privacy and an idyllic setting for your honeymoon.
The tropical gardens are stunning with more than 100 species of orchids as well as colourful hibiscus and lofty palm trees. There are ponds too filled with koi carp. The hotel’s pool is very special as it is the first environmentally friendly pool on Praslin and uses only ocean minerals for its filtration which produces water of the highest quality. Perfect for an exotic honeymoon, the hotel does offer special honeymoon packages to couples.

Standard Room
The standard room offers comfortable and romantic living for two. With high ceilings and light wooden floors, this spacious and comfortable room is wonderfully secluded with patio doors that slide open onto the private terrace. -
The Honeymoon Suite
This hotel is so perfect for honeymoons that it has four specially designated – and very romantic- honeymoon suites. Not only do they have beautiful king sized beds strewn with flower petals awaiting your arrival and the double sun lounger on the terrace but these suites also have open air showers in their private gardens that are surrounded by foliage– how romantic is that! Inside in the spacious bathroom there is a double bath tub as well as a shower.
Facilities
The stunning Anse Lazio beach is close and has been voted one of the world’s Top Ten beaches, whilst there are two dive centres within walking distance. There are excursions available to Vallé de Mai part of the National Park which is famous for its black parrots. Other islands to explore include Cousin & Ande has a bird reserve whilst Curieuse is well known for its giant tortoises. There is great snorkelling to be enjoyed on St Pierre’s Island too.

Le Dauphin is the main restaurant and has an idyllic setting as it is surrounded by trees, vibrantly coloured flowers and fish ponds with koi carp making it a romantic dining hideaway! It has an extensive buffet area. Breakfasts offer a wonderful choice of hams, cheese, fruits and pastries. Dinners are a wonderful choice of local creole delicacies or much loved international classics with an exciting and exotic twist! -
The Café des Arts
Nestling right on the beach, this elegant restaurant offers guests relaxed dining by day and as evening falls, the tempo changes and offers guests the finest seafood dining and it has the reputation of being one of the best on the island. Each dish is creatively and enthusiastically prepared using the finest fresh ingredients.
