The Modern Honolulu infuses luxury facilities and amenities with a boutique feel, with only 353 opulent rooms and suites spread across the resort, you can enjoy unobstructed views of the tranquil ocean from your cozy bed or open air balcony.

As well as sublime sunset and sunrise views, bask in the brilliant cosmopolitan of city views to one side, and tropical island panoramas on the other.

Room Types

Whether you prefer to enjoy city or beach views from your bed, that’s up to you. The Modern Honolulu showcases 353 luxurious and stylish guest rooms and suites that offer views of either the city, pool or harbor. Many rooms feature a private furnished terrace with a king or double bed.

The AAA 4-Diamond Modern Honolulu guest rooms feature amenities such as custom-designed furnishings and fabrics, sliding window screens, a large bathroom with an oversized glass-enclosed shower (Bathtub rooms are also available) and integrated Terrazzo counters. Modern technology facilities include a 46-inch LCD TV with satellite, DVD library, Wi-Fi throughout the resort, in-room safe, Keurig coffee maker and twice-daily housekeeping.

Ocean View Suite

The Ocean View Suite measure between 665 sq. feet and feature a separate living room, a private bedroom and two bathrooms. You can enjoy views of the Ocean and marina from the private, oversized furnished terrace. This room includes one king size bed.
Ocean Front Suites

The Ocean Front Suites measure 485 sq. feet and compromise of two private terraces that overlook the tranquil Ocean, marina and pool, which create the perfect canvas for those magical sunsets. The Ocean Front suites include a separate living room with a spacious workspace that leads to one of the private terraces. This room includes one king size bed.
Marina View Suites

The Marina View Suites measure 485 sq. feet and include two private terraces that overlook the Ocean and marina. Compromising of a separate living area with a spacious workspace that leads out to one of the private terraces allow for romantic sunset views in privacy. This room includes one king size bed.
Studio Suite with Terrace

The Studio Suite with Terrace measures 373 sq. feet, designed for relax and play with an integrated bedroom with living area to kick back and enjoy wonderful views of the Ocean, which can also be adored from the private terrace. This room includes one king size bed.
ADA – Accessible Suites

The ADA-accessible rooms feature the Modern Honolulu’s modern amenities as well as a roll-in shower or accessible tub, telephone call alert, kick light, bed shaker, TTY phone, shower chair and a toilet raiser.
Penthouse

Enjoy the best of The Modern Honolulu by booking the Penthouse; with its high top location you’ll have the best views of Waikiki at your fingertips. Enjoy privacy at its finest with a rooftop terrace dining and lounge area, a spacious bedroom and separate living room with a 55-inch satellite TV and DVD library. The Penthouse includes a 24-hour room service, and each room includes slippers and robes.
Partial Ocean View King with Terrace

The Partial Ocean View king with terrace includes a furnished terrace with panoramic views, partially of the Ocean and the urban landscapes. Each room measures 340 sq. feet and includes a king size bed.
Deluxe Double Rooms

The Deluxe Double rooms measure 390 sq. feet and offers partial Ocean views. These rooms include two double beds.
City View Rooms

Ideal for guests on the go, the city View Rooms measure 390 sq. feet and include a king size bed. The Private terrace showcases modern city views and the resorts grounds.
City Scape Rooms

The 390 sq. feet city view room features a king size bed and oversized windows overlooking the modern cityscape, which can also be seen from your private terrace.

Facilities

Every honeymoon is complete with a tranquil spa session to soothe those jetlag muscles to ease you into your honeymoon with pure relaxation. LATHER Spa at The Modern Honolulu offers a range of body massages, skin-refining facials, manicures and pedicures. As you begin your wonderful treatment you will be treated to a harmonious Peach Green Tea, which has become a favourite at The Modern Honolulu. Spa packages are also available for individuals, brides, couples and groups, with special add-ons tailored to you. Bridal massages are also available at LATHER Spa.

If you can’t resist a session at the gym while on your honeymoon in Hawaii, why not spend the morning kicking up a sweat at the fitness center, located just steps from the Spa and Sunset Pool. The fitness center at The Modern Honolulu offers cardio, strength training equipment, yoga essentials and a state-of-the-art entertainment system. Yoga fanatics can enjoy early morning sessions starting at 8 am every Monday, Wednesday and Friday at the Sunset Pool.

This stylish and quirky restaurant occupies the menu of celebrity chef Massaharu Morimoto, also known as the Iron chef. Known for developing award-winning beers and Sake, Morimoto aims to please in this Japanese restaurant with sushi bar and live cooking stations.
Passageway + The Grove

Begin your day with a Kona roasted coffee at the Passageway, an al fresco eatery experience set among the lush grove and palm fringe trees. Stop by for lunch for a refreshing salad or sandwich or a cheeky slice of cheesecake!
The Study

Like a secret passageway, The Study is located behind a wall of books in the lobby. At 6 pm each evening, the bookshelves rotate to reveal a sophisticated bar serving up a selection of juicy cocktails, a mix of spice rum beverages, wines and champagnes, as well as a menu of indulgent desserts and appetizers. Happy hour is from 6-8 pm and live music is from 7-10 pm.
Addiction Nightclub

Get out your best dress and your glamorous heels on at the Addiction Nightclub, where the most hyped about DJs pop by for a set or two. Dance beneath 40,000 lights or grab a cozy booth as the nights and the music takes control.
Fresh + Local

If you’ve spent the night dancing your feet away, or just fancy a lazy morning in bed don’t worry, breakfast can come to you! After all, you deserve it on your honeymoon; choose from a menu of international breakfast options available from 6 am until 11 am. Lunch and dinner can also be request for room service, lunch hosts a selection of snacks, salads, soups and burgers. Indulge in a late night feast for two on your balcony with a menu ranging from salads, burgers and pizzas, available from midnight until 6 am.
