At the Bedouin campsite you will get the chance to ride a camel or try your hand at sand surfing, then you can enjoy a refreshing barbecue, which is prepared on open fires. Dinner is served beneath the stars as you lounge on cozy cushions and traditional Persian carpets. You will also be offered to smoke a traditional water pipe known as a Narhileh or ‘hubbly bubbly’ and this is a time-honored Arabic tradition, enjoy the ambience as the sunsets while enjoying authentic belly dancing alongside Arabic folk music.

When is the best time to do the Desert Safari and sunset barbecue?
Dubai has a desert climate all year around and the tour is operated all year round except for New Years Eve. Although, if you do not prefer it when it is too hot it is recommended to go for the Desert safari and sunset barbecue tour during the winter months from December to March as it is much cooler with irregular spurts of rain. It is more comfortable to and bearable in the desert as it can get very hot and humid in Summer with average temperatures of 40 degrees celsius. In the winter, evenings can get quite cold, so best to bring a jacket or cover-up whereas in the summer months the evenings are quite warm.
How long does the Desert Safari and sunset barbecue take?
The evening desert safari and sunset barbecue begins at 3pm and the duration of this tour is around 6 hours. Guest will be picked up and dropped off at their Dubai hotel or residence. The experience takes place in the Dubai Desert Conservation Reserve, the UAE’s first national park.
What is the dress code?
The dress code is casual according to weather conditions and it is advised to carry a hat, scarf, sunscreen and sunglasses. It is good to wear light and comfortable clothing and walking shoes for the best experience as sand is bound to go into your clothing. However, it is advised to avoid wearing jewellery and bringing other valuables during the tour as could get lost in the desert. During the evening or cooler months, it is recommended to bring a shawl, jacket or some kind of cover-up.
The United Arab Emirates has conservative dress traditions. Swimwear should be confined to the beach and hotel pools. Men and women should ensure shoulders and knees are covered when in public, especially in souks, shops and villages.

Once you arrive at the Desert safari campsite be sure to enjoy fun camel rides, arty henna painting, aromatic shisha (known as hookah), desert dune bashing, a safari in a SUV and an authentic BBQ dinner (veg options included) as well as complimentary refreshments. What is Desert Dune bashing?
Desert Dune bashing is driving at vast increased and decreased speed across the golden sands of the Arabian Desert in a big 4X4 vehicles which lasts for about 20 to 30 minutes.
Other things to know:-
– During the holy month of Ramadan which is during May to June time, there is no alcohol drinks and no live entertainment allowed such as belly dancing, fire shows and other forms of entertainment.
-The age limit for this tour is 5 years old and above.
– Guests with medical conditions or are pregnant can not participate in this tour.
