Feeding the pigs is permitted, however, it’s advised to consider what to feed the pigs. Pitted fruit and vegetables are the main diet foods for the pigs, which can only be fed in the water.
When is the best time to visit the pigs?
The pigs live on Pig Beach all year round, for beautiful weather. The peak times to visit is December to mid-April so there will be more tourists this time of year, which is worth thinking about.
How did the pigs get to Pig Beach?
It’s not known for sure how the pigs got to Pig Beach, legend has it the pigs were left by a group of sailors who planned to come back and cook them! Fast-forward to today, the pigs call Pig Beach home and greet many tourists per day. There are around 20 pigs and piglets on the beach and they love to swim in the crystal clear waters.
